anyone know how to save all layers in a file to seperate AI files? and quickly?

i posed the same question a couple of months ago and got no response.

Just had a quick gander and couldn't find anything other than a suggestion to export as a layered PSD... but obviously that rasters your layers, so is probably less than ideal.
Please post if you do find something.

Copy and paste each layer into new doc, one by one? How many layers we talkin about?

hmm - alot of layers, haha - i did have the thought of file, save layers as SWF files, the import into flash, then export as AI sequence - but it really messes with the compression...meh

just record an action; delete selected layers + save as copy + undo (delete layers).
