Go and quit this shit work now, otherwise your soul is gona die.
I´m in the same situation (but nice paid for the spanish salaries situation), but i don´t have the balls to do it, to say bye and quit this hole-work.
I´m working at home "buying" my future freedom, doing comics and illustration work for my folio... but the days are going bye and the love and passion what i feel for my career-profession has almost disappeared.
Be a man and do the right thing.

On the second page your Ongoing work section and Most recent section don't line up.
Also some minor turn in the text to get rid of a few stray end of lines, in my FF on the what we do section I'm left with a widow "client" at the end but this is ok in Safari.

Sounds like the best decision right now. You deserve a little break anyway and hopefully you can get some of that in Japan.

you should start getting the ball rolling and set up interviews today, and esp[epcially as sonn as you get back from Japan.
dont be unhappy at a job in nyc and feeling you are not making enough. take charge and go after the work that is out there.
