thanky folks. i also tried the "save as ms word" option out of acrobat. its the best result one can get. still a little work to do, but better than build it up from scratch!
thanx everyone!

rockdog, I just tried the pdf to word option and it worked although there's some adjusting to do.

Can't you just export to PDF then take it into Acrobat and save as a word Doc?
- BaskerviIle0
then just run in all the text into the word doc. Then insert all the images (make sure they are all converted to 72 dpi) then style it up as well as you can. Still sounds like a lot of work!

Not a simple task, your choices are two:
1. Recreate the whole thing in word and charge accordingly
2. Offer the client the option on an editable pdf, that might work for them and you better.

basker you are right... but i am sick of argueing. i tried it, believe me... i just want this thing get done right now... i dont care if the word document looks pretty shitty, as long as all the text and the images are there...
- BaskerviIle0
your client is a joke, you should charge them for the Word format document as a separate job.
I assume you agreed on a format when you started the 120 book?
- rockdog0
thanx bluejam... you mean copy the whole thing? or page by page? its a 120 pages document with lots of graphics...
- madirish0
nice link Bluejam, but i think this will also be dependant on 'clipboard preferences/settings' as it has not worked for me before.
i could be wrong though...

I believe you can only export the separate "stories" as text files
