few companies back they placed webmaster on my business card. I hated that title personally. please never use that.

My job was created for me last year and I just made up my own title, Web Design/Development, but now it's review time and my job description is titled Web Designer. I just want my title to accurately reflect my job for when I update my resume.

(Apr 27 07, 20:49)Same here! Sometimes I am referred to as the web designer, but it can also be webmaster. I personally think that it's very old and kind of lame, so I always use web designer / developer.
I think clear's "web manager" title is also a good choice.

sounds a lot like my job, I always liked the title web producer, more accurately fits my role.

(Apr 27 07, 23:50)Well, that much is painfully clear. :(
I kind of like the sound of Web Producer. It conveys that I "produce" the web presence, which is true, but is ambiguous enough to let my focus wander. Also sounds less lame than webmaster and doesn't imply I have staff, like manager does.

Marketing Coordinator sounds like who I report to (strictly speaking, he's the Marketing Director) and I certainly don't get paid enough to afford suits...

Web Manager
That pretty much describes what you do, plus it shows that you have a lot of responsability, although you should ideally get yourself an assistent to make it even more meaningfull.

I think it does sound very much like a "webmaster" role. You seem to do a lot more than design or develop so you would have a title like that which suggests that you do actually look after many different things without limiting yourself to being a designer or a developer.
Webmaster does sound a bit 1999 though.
