excessive sleep is a sign of depression.

I love sleeping, but mainly after I've had a long day or something. Feels great.
I do not, however, enjoy sleeping during the day. First of all, I can't do it unless I'm sick. It usually takes me way too long, and I especially don't want it to become a habit (unless I have kids and need to take naps to survive).
It's a wonderful thing, and I usually get around 8-10 hours, but I can't sleep for longer.

my body clock is set to 5.47.. 3 minutes before my alarm goes of and i still press snooze at least 3 times before i am capable of psychically gettitng up.
i wish it was summer already. so much easier waking up when it's light.

i must admit i do like to take disco naps when golf is on the tele. i go bored out of my mind looking at guys hit a little ball around, then get lulled into a trance by the annoucers voice and wake up every so often to golf claps.

Which to me attributes to canuck's response about excessive sleep is a sign of a depression, heh.
I hate winter and things being dark, I love the sun!
Even though I'm allergic to it.

It's usually pretty bright about 9am when I get up anyway; doesn't matter about the season.

Yea, I'm supposed to be in at work by 9.
I usually stroll in at like 10/11 during Jan. until mid-Mar., much to everyone's shygrin.

My friend from Finland bought this special 'dawn' alarm clock. It basically slowly starts getting brighter (imitating a 'sunrise') and i think it plays some happy birds song to. Nice idea but it didn't work. I think when you're trying to fool your body into waking up you should not be in on the joke.

The only good thing life has to offer is sleep. Do it as much as possible.

I think sleeping all day when you're not even really tired is lazy. It's fine to do every now and then, but sleeping all day is...I don't know....I feel like I'd be missing out on something or should be doing something.

the shitty sleep pattern I have got into is that i wake up every other morning around 6 and toss and turn til 7:40, get into some rem and alarm goes off @ 8. drives me crazy.. the only time i sleep straight through is if i drink beers before sleepy, but then i dont get quality sleep. meh

Seriously, the best sleep is if you get to it at 10PM.
