Search for "SEO" in the PVN. There are several threads on this.

it's far too expensive to pay a big firm to do Search Engine Optimization for a small site or one of your small clients. But, its still important to make sure you have good search terms and impliment best SEO practices especially on flash sites.
Do any of you out there do much with this? I have a small site with a client with not a shit ton of money. I'd like to do them a good job anyway. What resources might you suggest.
I'd like to do something beyond meta and keyword tags on the index page.
