  don't laugh, but the 'red-eye remover' tool in iPhoto works so damn well, it is scary.

  no bullshit.

  one click and it is gone. if you are on M$ though, i am not sure.

  Quick & Easy:

  Use the circle marquee select around the offending red eye. Cmd+U (Ctrl+U) to pull up Hue Adjustment panel. Desaturate all the way down. Maybe darken a little afterward. Voila. Not the best method, but it works in a pinch.
