Go for a bike ride skt :D that blows the cobwebs of malaise out of me, and or go for a swim thats good fun also plus you get to have a sly look at tidy chicks and people watch imagine what they do for work etc. and or what type of person they are, I'm a right people watcher me. Also when you are at the baths you can pure sit with your boaby on the hot water bit making little skt feel funny :D.

to understand the sentiment i will build an example to use with you.
me: vespa, wanna go out friday?
you: sure.now if i get all worked up over the "maybes" of our encounter and things don't go my way, i might get sad or put off for reasons neither of us fully understand because i had "expectations".
but if i just take it for what it is and let the night take me, i will experience more than any preconceived situations i would have ever imagined.
i would never rule out possibility, the ability to predict it however, i would.

i guess it depends on whether expectations are absolute+reactive or flexible+active.
sorry no i'm not going to go out with you on friday as i'm spoken for.
now if you had an absolute+reactive way of looking at the world you'd say aaarrrgh my expectation wasn't fulfilled. it must be because of me. even though she doesn't know a thing about me she thinks i'm not worth going out with and therefore i'm going to be upset.
however if you have a flexible+active approach to the world you'd say something like well the fact that she's spoken for has nothing to do with me. at least we've got some sort of communication going on. isn't the internets great? ahhhh look there's a baby polar bear

vespa, now that i am dejected with rejection yet somehow freed by knowing the cuddly wuddly bear is going to die a slave to man instead of feeding nature as intended i can say it'd be wonderful if we could all be "flexible+active" but I believe that contradicts the general term for expectations being
"Often, expectations. a prospect of future good or profit: to have great expectations."
so if you had said yes, of course i would have been anticipating our encounter therefore "expecting" it to happen
but often in life, in many a circumstance be it work, a chance meeting, an interview, or anything that makes us happy, people tend to expect small things, often unspoken and after time, take for granted and sometimes, sadly, demand.
so now that you have said no and I am alone this friday, I can fully expect you to call because you see how "flexible+active" i can be.
