goes to show how dumb the public in Boston really is... and i bet they were making fun of middle america meanwhile they themselves are dumber than a pile of bricks.
I like those 2 guys they can laught at what is NOT a serius issue.
...Please take off you sandals and walk though metal detector at the airport... WTF?? What bizzaro country are we living in? Flying 2 planes into a building doesn't seem so crazy after all if you look at the aftermatch.

(Feb 6 07, 10:34)pffftttt, what dude? what an absurd statement. i am from boston but its not like i was calling in these things as bombs. it was probably some T worker who was adhering to the 'if you see something, say something' slogan a little too closely and started this thing. the whole of boston didn't convene a meeting in a fortified bunker and collectively decided to make a big deal of this.
and, while i am at it, i don't get why everyone is slamming the fact that these kids are getting the shaft from boston. isn't it time warner and interference who should be getting the brunt of the criticism for making these guys the fall guys? the kids were dumb enough to make and post a video of them putting the signs up. and, let's be real, they are probably only going to get hit with a defacing public property charge for this, which they probably could have beat if there wasn't a video of them committing the deed. so let's tone down the outcry for these kids. its not like they are being framed for the murders OJ committed.

Fuck you, Boston...

(Feb 5 07, 07:47)you would have thought we invaded rhode island (the state where 'family guy'--another beloved cartoon on adult swim!--takes place) with this kind of talk.
everyone chill. let's all take a deep breath, it is going to be... okay.

They look like idiots because they are idiots. Who in their right mind would risk jail time for a television network?

the leaving of those devices out in public carries no more than a $5000 - $10000 fine at best $1000/infraction for littering
what the city decides to blow is on them. from johhny cop on the beat to homeland security up top, who was interviewed and questioned about the device and what it could possibly represent before it was detonated?
why were the other 8 detonated when the remains of the first one showed no countdown timer or explosive?

Last I heard, the 2 guys were hired by a 3rd party agency to put them up.
Also I think we have come to a point and time in society where we are done with it. We are tired of people telling us that they are coming in the night to sneak into our homes and take our heads and eat our children.
You can only force fear for so long. There will be more and bigger snap backs too. Just wait.
Those 2 gave the media what they deserved.

Yeah the precedent of paying for the advertising space you are using when you're a business.
- Redmond0
Paranoia aside, you should be glad at least that city did something. You don't just throw advertisement in the subway without the city knowing about it.

“A vast sector of modern advertising... does not appeal to reason but to emotion; like any other kind of hypnoid suggestion, it tries to impress its objects emotionally and then make them submit intellectually.”
