I've got the book Diary of a Genius by Dali. In it he describes taking the most amazing shit because he had a flower perched on his ear and thus couldn't smell his own poo.

I saw some line drawings of his a few years ago in miami and I liked them better than his paintings. He had an amazing sense of perspective. He seems like a total dick though.

I think his work is wonderful, one of the great masters that inspired me since I was a little kid. I can still remember how much i loved his Explosion piece.
His personality? love it! not a lot of people have the ballz to pull a Dali or Warhol... That is ART.

Fuck I haven't seen 'Arena' in years. Takes me back.
I'm a huge fan of Dali's work. Once sat for frickin ages with my face right up against 'Raphaelesque Head Exploded' in a gallery in Edinburgh .
Anyone who can create work like this deserves my vote as 'genius'.

Actually they're both pretty commercial (hence Breton, the leader of the Surrealists named Dali by the anagram Avida Dollars). Both heavily influential on advertising.
However. Like Camden, London; Dali is appreciated most by 14 yr olds.
