gap doesn't allow archiving of their site but those diagonal lines look familiar, they change their frontpage graphics with the season, it's the same site, new splash

wasn't the gap going to rebrand and reinvent itself? anyone else remember those spike jonez commercials with the people destroying shit in the stores? did anything ever come of that?

i read in an article recently that gap sales have been declining for the last 2 years, and there's an overall decline over the past 5 or 6 years.
they tried to remodel a bunch of their stores with a more open atmosphere or something like that but I guess it hasn't helped too much. my gf worked there back when they were doing the remodels.

this site is just so derivative. Like a whole bunch of borrowed elements puked onto the screen. At least with the old blue and white thing they had going, there was a clear brand direction.

I was hoping they would up the quality of the brand after those commercials hit. Those commercials were awesome work.
But nope...
I hate the washes on their denim. They try too hard to keep their brand "something for everyone but not over the top." in my opinion.
