What sort of machine do you have, are you happy with it, and how much did you pay? (I'm shopping around right now, so many choices)

I picked up a dell for around 2000 and it has everything i need. It's not the best machine around but for the money you get a lot. The only problem I had was my video card which died about 3 weeks ago but it wasn't a hassle to replace it. My warrenty had expired because the guy who placed the order for me didn't order the 3 year warrenty (jack ass) but it only set me back $160 for a better one.
Installing it was a cinch. Dell does a really good job of keeping the inside of their cases clean and in order. Everything was easy to access and installing more drives was simple too. Everything slides out without tools.
The only part of dell that doesn't do it for me is the tech support. I am not a big fan of out sourcing and it drives me nuts when the person on the other end of the phone can't speak english or tell me something I haven't already told them or know. If Dell was based in India i would understand, no problem. But they aren't and they should speak english without a script.
But I think you will find that just about any where.
That being said, if you are looking to do graphic design I would just cough up the money for a Mac Pro. If you are doing web design you should go right a head and pick up the mac pro if your budget allows for it but install windows. You are going to want it for testing and it's also a good idea to develop on the platform most of your audience is going to use to view your work.
If you are big into gaming and that sort of thing, a windows based machine will probably serve you better.
