for less than $300 this looks like a great deal, anyone had any experience with it?

Man, all the research and reading I've done about the Dell 2007wfp I just bought... don't think I could do much more.
But search this forum:

From what it looks like it's not from the Ultrasharp line.Found threads:

first i've heard of a dell 22"... I've got the 24" and love it. But it seems pretty good

Wow, looks like a hell of a deal! No idea of the quality, but I love my 20" and 24".

i just went from a Sony Trinitron to a Dell 22 inch about 1/2 hour ago. it's def. crisp/smart as hell but I've lost about 14-15% of my midtone color range went dark all of a sudden.
The outside background for NT used to be a nice hershey's chocolate brown color, now it looks more like brown-black.

I' going through such a roundabout process callibrating my monitor at home.
What color do you typically see around NT?
Mine is usually a deep deep grey, almost black, but not really brown.

wow, my NT background has never been a brown tone...
my nipples on the other hand...

Good read:

Scroll to LCD Tech section to read about the difference between TN, S-IPS and PVA / M-PVA panels.

No kidding? The same thing happend to me a couple of hours ago, I have no idea what the hell went wrong. Please post if you figure it out.

Hey MG33,
Based on the article you suggested, they say PVA/MVA is superior to S-IPS. I thought you were saying it was the other way around in yesterday's thread?
- mg330
ETM - now that I reread it, that article is strange in that spot. Countless reviews I've read said that s-ips are better than PVA.
S-IPS are known for much better color representation, wider viewing angles.
The more I read and learn the more I realize LCD's are the most subjective thing to judge on the face of the earth.
Most people say the Dell 2007wfp that I have is far superior with the S-ips, partly because other higher $$ design oriented LCD's include them.

too bad it's not ultrasharp
when i first bought my dell i bough a 19" with it that wasn't ultrasharp...it was pretty bad...all fonts were fuzzy and difficult to read....especially white on black
i sent it back and bought the 19" ultrasharp and it's much better

are there any other good monitors like dell (not apple) out there?
