If there's anyone who should be given that penalty, it's Saddam. But I can definitely think of some others who could use some discipline...

You obviously have no perspective, with your little map demo. Things are not that cut and dry.

It has become my favorite past time to watch paranoid westerners hypothesize and analyze a group of people in which they have very little knowledge of their actual beliefs, culture, and way of life. A group of people up until about 5 years ago went basically ignore by the majority of the west. Now all of a sudden everyone is an expert on the middle east.
Boogie boogie.....the big bad AYE RAB is gonna get you!

funny thing is that even before 911 the stereotype of arabs and muslims was terrorism...i worked for a family of syrians who gave me my crash coarse in arabs and islam, with them while americans bomb bagdad again in 1998, basically gave me a thourough history and political lesson on the issues. i had NO preconceptions but they were the ones who brought up the terrorism thing ...plus they were the most hilarious guys i'd ever met. i was 18 and they were god

Edward Said talked about a lot of the cultural issues you mention in your post, MONEYCIDE. In fact, he discussed them long before 9/11 occurred.
