to achieve that color, I went to Rio de Janeiro for a month with my wife, then cropped out her head. She got mad but I insisted her legs carried the day.

hello. it is probably a camera sepia filter or the array of whites inthe image has been replaced by a single [sepia] colour.

countless ways to get something like that......but i doubt it was done in camera.

thx people. yeah i know about sepia. but in all those images this effect has been applied very carefully and in a way that seems more clever then the average click on a ps filter.

yes i know you know what sepia is
i was trying to point out how that praticular sepia was done - solid color with a blening mode of either soft light or color.
this tech will provide a very nice color cast - much better in fact then the photo filter function.

Looks kinda like a Lomo effect, with a little bit of muted colorization thrown in. Check out something like this:
