i've seen alegria, saltimbanco (twice) and O.
O is by far the best, saltimbanco a distant second and then alegria.
that said, however, still the best performances i've ever seen, to the point where they've spoiled me a bit.
i was probably not as impressed as i should've been by fuerzabruta or woyczek (misspelled, i know!).

Many of my friends and co-workers believe cirque du soleil is THE best performance they have ever seen in their entire lives.
I have yet to see one, but I definitely want to/will sometime in the future.

I saw Alegria a couple years ago and really enjoyed it and recently saw Delirium and was less impressed by it. I agree with the comment about it being much more conceptual, though it still had some impressive acrobatics.

I saw 'O' in vegas when I was there, it's in a specailly built theatre and most of the action takes place in water. It was incredible possibly the best live performance I've ever seen. The performers just appeared out of the water from underneath but you never see them go in. There must be a special door under the tank or something but the effect is of a group of people who can breath underwater. They managed to vary the depth of the water so that the performers coould walk on it or perform 100 ft dives into it. All completely seemless with great music. It really was great. I've not seen any of their other shows but I can't imagine they could be better.

i saw the first show years ago, and I just saw Delirium a few months ago... each were totally different, and both amazing in their own way. it's more performance art at this point though, and it's subject to the vision of the show's creators. Delirium had 5 story high video projected onto transparent screens, and some other awesome multimedia stuff, but it was way overly conceptual
