Personally speaking, I'd ditch the landing page - merge it with your homepage (that's what the News section's for, surely?).
Maybe it's 'cos I'm on my laptop and the boxes aren't as deep as they oughtta be, but the News/Philosophy content areas are a bit underwhelming and fiddly. Also, your [html] body copy could do with tarting up a bit.
All in all - seems alright - work is pretty good - but there's nothing that leaps out and twists me by the balls, y'know?
Why not mingle a little more of the 'getitrightmrprinter' section in, to jazz up the visuals?
Good Luck!

the idea is to "advertise" a one off event right when you first come in, I agree that takes the real " context" of the site away. As for the css issue, I must say i am stil trying to understand the whole tabless design, I just wanted to separete the content from design, I am getting there...thanks for your feedback.

i looked at this site yesterday after your initial post but didnt have time to reply and my thoughts were the same as everyone elses.
i thought it was a site for a collective or someone tryin to do something like Designiskinky.net on first glance at the homepage.
the layout and design is sweet enough. it's the message that the homepage puts across that is wrong.
the homepage is the most important page of any website as it is the page that makes the user decides if he/she is going to hang around to read further or if they close the browser - and this all happens in their head within the first few seconds of the page loading. so theyve got to instantly know what the site is about in that time.hope you appreciate my tuppence

hello valentim,
I like the site design although I agree that the intro page is a barrier to the real site content.
Also I notice that the layout is done using tables... css is really well suited to that kind of layout... I'd think about changing it.
The down to earth profiles are cool too.

intropage puts a wrong atmosphere.
i need 3+ mouseclicks to figure out that it's all about a designers collective.looks like an online art exhibition or something on first sight.
