it is not because she was a woman. she wasn't a big fish in the whole scheme.
it'd be better if people look at each other with a sense of forgiveness and understanding, instead of pointing fingers and retaliation.
but hey, call me a softie. i am a minority with an opinion like this anyway.
have you people ever been through something REALLY extreme in terms of violence or abuse or law or anything?
well i have, when i was young. and it is only the ones i talk to who have been through any of the above AND who also visited psychologists (or similar) who are often more enlightened in their way of thinking about and going about with people, because quite frankly, we are all humans.
i never see anyone here tell other people what they have done (terribly) wrong in their own lives but love to blow the trumpet of morality and laugh about others getting punished.
maybe it has become entertainment in the world.
but one day, by freak accident or a temporary loss of sensibility or anything, you may do something wrong, or be haunted by the things you did.

this was 60 years ago and the granny ain't running about the streets yelling at jews how they suck or anything. i believe she has serious regrets and since she wasn't part of the team that led the terrible holocaust - instead she was (forcefully?) put to work, like tons and tons of other germans still living here and there.
let her be.
or talk with her about her feelings and do something constructive with it. like publishing a book.

janne... i wasn't responding to you or your opinion... that was just 'my' opinion based on the fact that she clearly didn't care (according to the article)...
...and regardless of how much times goes by on something as this... what she was involved in was pretty disgusting... and for her to not even 'flinch' w/an ounce of remorse etc... just seems odd...
...it could be that she is so old she really doesn't care what this world's authorities do with her... maybe she's very ashamed of what she was a part of... who knows...
... on a side note... I'd love to hear what Ahmadinejad has to say about her... maybe he could even 'help her' as he seems to think the holocaust didn't even occur... :)

Speaking of screwed up priorities, how can you get 20 years for having a few pounds of weed in your house, but get out in 3-5 for raping a woman?
