whoever persued this case is as evil as the lady was in her youth.
The great thing about human nature is forgiveness and whoever persued the case simply doesn't have it.

Nothing poor about this lady. Her past finally caught up with her.

i agree with pr2 though. she's an old lady ffs. i am sure she regretted her past. a world without any forgiveness is a world with pain and anger.
imho.

"...because all these years she was totally embarrassed."
oh, embarrassed? really?
one would think a nazi past might be a touch more than 'embarrassing'

True Janne...but still...Concentration Camp SS guard...it's hard to feel any pity for her...

"omg, I gassed a couple of Jews, what WILL the other ladies of the sewing club say?!"

(Sep 20 06, 09:09)what if they didn't catch david berkowitz, ted bundy or dennis rader (btk killer) until they were 86. would you want them to be let go cause they were frail grandfathers? absolutely not. you'd be singing a much different tune.
this is not any different.
- kelpie0
I think maybe it is though, they were deranged killers, with disorders which were never likely to leave them in a safe place later in life where they would reflect on what they had done. There is every possibility she was an impressionable young lady caught up in the events of the time and was in no way a menace now, with deep regrets about her past... (just imo)

interesting stuff.
I was a history major and I wrote my thesis about nazis who worked in concentration camps. Sadly this lady seems to typify what I studied in terms of her overall apathy towards her actions.
- mrdobolina0
rules is rules, I guess. poor old fascist ;)
- ********0
She properly never had a saying about working in that camp. Nazi's were/are cold pricks, so maybe it was just camp work or get shot.
Deporting a old lady 60 years after the war is just plain stupid done by some by the book government idiot.
- moldero0
aw poor lady, she only did a few war crimes, whats so bad about that.
"what comes around goes around i guess" exactly K0na ;)

I for one would not compare a 86 year old woman who was a young female ss guard with ted bundy.
(I'd have picked Myra Hindley)
Always look at the bright side though, they could have sent her into the gaza stripe to do some social work.
