i feel like i don't have a partner,
sometimes
i feel like my only friend
is the website i post on,
the website of angels,
lonely as i am,
together we cry...---
but seriously now,
sometimes i feel a bit alienated in this pvn,
this is especially due to the US centric nature of this global website,
tons of threads named after tv shows i don't know of,
persons/actors/politicians etc. i never heard of before,
this baseball team vs. that one (or is it basketball or ice hockey teams?),
nor have i any interest in xbox or playstation,
neither in bathing ape or urban outfitters,
threadless doesn't move me either,
and then,i feel i want to talk to you all about the great Zomergasten TV show that featured artist Joep van Lieshout, but noone here would know or care, but if you did know, you'd probably care more,
or about the, in many ways, brilliant Oscar winning Dutch film i just saw on TV, an this afternoon i was thinking of discussing the tendency that ongoing specialization and new directions diffuse the borders between art and design and how this intrigues me so much.........and then i think, i should stand up and be honest and say goodbye to you all.
but alas, i love you wankers too much. :|

I saws the moon that day too - big wasn't it? Even bigger when I saw it last night on the way home. Of course, it's all an illusion, but doesn't it make you wonder that we were both looking at the same moon on the same evening - there's something there that should reduce your sense of alienation.
Of course, that could be an illusion too.

Sometimes you are as American as the Americans - certainly more British than the British - so don't fret about your place.
As far as the ['civilized'] world's concerned, your kind of Holland is right in the middle.

i sometimes share stuff from here but explaining cultural context and translating text can be so tiresome..together with my new site i want to set up a weblog so i can show people and clients what my genuine interests are, which is design but also art and books etc.. but then it is so DAMN hard for me to decide whether i do it in english or dutch. i know a lot of you may read it now and then (if i am lucky haha) but i try to aim it to potential clients and people i know here in the world of art and cultural business(to finally get some REAL interesting design opportunities)..and for friends that wonder what the fuck i am doing and why i am not a simple flat commercial webdesignz0r they expect you to be. :/
