They are playing the fisrt 24 hours of MTV Broadcasting on MTV VH1CR ... which I always thought was Country, but apparently it's 'classic'.

actually... vh1 classic is like what mtv used to be. we are the 80s and the alternative are really tight blocks of videos...
i'm only 30 and my tastes are considered "classic"

MTV was always terrible for the whole music industry. From day 1, it was like a top 40 radio station with no chance for anyone but the ultrafamous, ultrahot or ultra useless. I suppose if all you want is Madonna or Michael Jackson, you'd be fine.
This was also a total downturn for the music industry because of a new focus on t and a, choreography and all priorities before music.
God damn MTV and what it did to music. Look at them, they don't even PLAY music anymore. I won't even comment on what they have now.
