Americans are such easy targets. I give up.
Incidentally, I had a Kiwi Burger special combo with fries and a beer in a NZ McDonalds a few years ago. McD's in the US is a very different (dirty, greasy) experience.

Also, the fact that an American tourist was in McD's is offensive. The food at McD's is offensive too. Why not complain about the food?

It is funny that these people travel thousands of miles to eat in a McD's. Isnt the point of travelling to learn about others customs and ways of life?

What is offensicve about this, is the pathetic mindset of a tourist, an American tourist at that. complaining about something in another country and wanting it changed. Why didnt they just go home to Iowa and pray? How about a Dutch person coming here and finding it offensive that we are close minded socirty? Ot how about a Dutch person coming to the states and thinking that rednecks driving around in pickup trucks is close minded and complaing about it? What would we say?
Also, the fact that an American tourist was in McD's is offensive. The food at McD's is offensive too. Why not complain about the food?

tis jsut said that someone from abroad feels the need to complain about things here and get it even changed..
i think even most dutch parents think it's funny, dont think their kids will immediatly engage in pissing in each others mouths or anything..
also, most kids will use the regular toilets as these are often too high to be used by kids.
i don't see the problem of these toilets at all. it's just humour, ffs!!

Eh, it's just for familiarity. I tend to gravitate towards places I already know when eating somewhere new. Of course, I tend to soon realize that I should probably eat somewhere new and be more adventurous.
I think this is the same thing as shopping when in a different country. A lot of people go to the same stores they visit back home, and so whenever someone wants to go shopping primarily while in another country it seems pointless.

Like I said, no need for the guy to complain and be an ass about it, especially in someone else's country, but if you had kids, you'd know that everything starts to become about 'the children'. The original question was 'offensive?', and to me it's not. I wouldn't have a problem with my daughter seeing it either (she's 3). But you can see how an uptight parent might take offense at its placement in a McD's, right?
