US bombing england for old times sake?

Its closest approach to Earth, above the west coast of North America, was projected at 0444 GMT.
"At this time calculations suggested it would be about 268,873 miles (432,709km) from the Earth, only 1.1 times the planet's distance from the Moon."
i am still puzzled though, why were there smoke trails?
it was only over half dark (almost dark) and only a few stars visible and then this bowl of fire, i recommend people in UK and Scotland to keep an eye on the sky..

More likely it was a chunk or piece of the asteroid that was pulled into Earth's gravition and burned up coming down.

Why don't you come over here and have a laugh with the Scots for a year or two and then go to ireland.... or perhaps do ireland first then scotchlandia.
