Ebay it. I started selling off clutter early last year. I've made over 3 grand so far. Now I sell anything. Freebies that come with magazines. newspaper clippings etc. Somebody somewhere wants it.

Well I haven't sold rubbish as such. For example I sold a 4pp clipping from The Observer newspaper as it was an article about Chris Morris (the Day Today, Brasseye).
That went for about a fiver. You just have to watch out for stuff that people might be interested in.
Plus, flog your music. Make DVD backups and flog it all!
Everything is disposable...

great points, jersey.
if i am lucky i will have enough money left to buy me an extra (spare) laptop and that..

Yeah, my ebaying has paid for my laptop, digital camera and a lot of design books.
Another thing is, start everything at the cheapest rate (99p in the UK) as people are more likely to bid and you pay more to list the higher your starting price. If it has a real value it will reach it (most of the time).
So let me know when your design books are on sale...

I sold almost everything a little while ago and it's cool, I even got rid of my studio and started using just [almost just] a pen and paper. I like Michael Landy's piece, breakdown I think, where he destroyed everything he owned...Also Martin Creed's philosophy on 'things' is worth a read!
Let me know when your selling your stuff, I'll buy some fell guilty then sell it.

cheers for the tips! i will check out Creed and Landy if i can!

there was a guy that sold his life on ebay everthing toliet paper mousetraps, opened toothpaste, used toohbrushes everything, then kept in touch with the buyers.
he then took a trip to meet everyone and ended up writing a book about it
that's what you should do janne

you could donate them to a design school's library. That way you aren't keeping them with you but can still access them at will.
if you must sell them though, let me know, i might pick some up.
