so i send my client a few pdf designs for his collateral. it was a very simply design but strictly bound to grid patterns and sizes of shapes that relate to each other with a certain formula..
so a simple design with a clever basis.
what do i see today?
apparently he downloaded fotosjop and went fucking around with my precious little newborns!!!!!
HE EVEN PUT TIMES OVER IT AND STRETCHED SOME SHAPES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THEN HE SAVED IT WITH JPEG COMPRESSION SET TO 10 OR SOMETHING!!!

there-there Crouwel, we've all been there, at least it's not in set in IMPACT or comic sans which I'm fighting against today. Even after the marketing manager explained why they should listen to us designers, the MD just said: "I understand that there is an issue over the presentation of the company image, but I really think comic sans is the way to go..."

You need some HiRes pdf's of some nice and old books.
Go over the olympic pdf's again and you will feel much better. The Munich one is nice if I remember correctly.

You can export pdf's so it will ask for a password when someone tries to edit them. Very effective!
