What version of photoshop are you still running? If I can use 7 for free or pay for CS2 what would you do?

7.0 is hust fine unless you'll be opening several newer files could become a bother saving them backward for compatibility

Here's what you're missing in CS2, folders in folders started in CS1, but now if you right/control click on a layer with the move tool, you get a list with inner layers indented and no hidden layers listed. You can click with the white vector arrow and actually get the layer you expected.
Smart Objects! Imagine pasting complicated work from Illiustrator and having the option of keeping it on a resolution independent layer that can be updated automatically if you want to go back to Illustrator.
You can select more than one layer at a time instead of having to link every time.
The vanishing point tool looks cool, but I haven't used it yet.
