Janne...I priced around pretty heavily when I bought my last bike. Check out these guys...the pricing is excellent and they ship internationally for pretty cheap. Greg is the manager there:

Hey uber...Kona bikes are really nice. I see plenty of them on the trails. Nice handling and stout.

I want to say back in 98 or so I bought my first kona bike. That's actually how I got the nick name. It was a new bike (in my area at least) and all the guys I rode with called me by the bikes name.
Anyways. I've always been super happy with kona bikes. I've had 5 over the years, Fire Mountain, Stab, Dawg, Kula, and now a Kikapu.
I'd love to have a Dawg again but don't have the cash.
I've always been super happy with their bikes and never had a problem.
The only problem I had was in 2000 when the dot com I was working for went under and I had to sell my $2200 downhill bike for $800 on ebay to make my mortgage. :(
Still haven't forgiven myself.

Not too sure anymore about Cannondale anymore. I rode a Lefty up a Snow Summit and it scared me...I'm a big dude, so I think I was just too heavy for the fork.

I owned (for a VERY brief time) an f1000.
Taking it up a hill I could make the handlebars and frame skweek from peddling and pulling. And it had shitty welds.
