So Im currently on my 4th ipod in 6 months. Anyone else having this problem?

yep, the problem for me was that my jacket was filled with magnets.
magnets + iPod = broken

i have had no probs. i had my first one (3rrd gen) for like 2 years, and my nano for 4. all with no probs.

I agree. 3rd generation was the best. I had that guy for almost 2 years. Now, its just terrible assembly. There is no more care in production, demands are too high. Why Steve Jobs Why ?!? ::looks at sky for answers::

Why would you have bought 4 ipods in 6 months if they kept breaking? there are loads of other mp3 players out there?

Since they are under warranty, Apple will replace if its a system failer issues (as in you didnt drop it, its not cracked...)
So Im not buying them, apple is replacing them each time...I think before they were sending me refurbished ones...this time around I told them that they have to send me a new one...this is just too ridiculous.

Well, knock on wood but my 1st gen and 4th gen are still working great. No issues.
The only issue I had was with some knock off travel charger I bought for $20 bucks that shit the bed on me after the 2nd month.
Looking into the Nano soon. Can't wait.

My O.G. 5gb is now over 5 years old... still get a 6.5 hour battery out of it and have never had an issue. It's been dropped a few times too.

my 3rd gen was great. battery turned to shit thou. so i sold it to some guy who buys broken ipods on craiglist for 75 bucks
