find 'speakable items' or accesibility option then sound or something, you will see the option, cmon its mac, very easy to find and turn it off, im at the office on pc now, thats how much i remember, good luck

click on finder top left (OSX)
services > speech > STOP SPEAKING TEXT. :D merry xmas.
