as much as i hate clients who pay late, 10% is pretty rediclious, you want to be taken seriously and that just looks like you are making shit up without any experience with contracts.
and alwyas get a downpayment.

yeah the whole 10% per day may have been a little dramatic. if they wait a few more months i will own their whole company. I guess that IS a little mob-like.
i'll def try to document this and let you know how it turns out, and what i find.

you should have gotten your dad in law to write the contract.
Dumb contracts are still legal binding, especially with a corporation, and will be honored when in court. The judge might tell you it's a dumb contract and probably remedy it with what he/she thinks is the fair amount so that the contract can be dissolved.

UPDATE: So I sued the agency. I filled out a form for small claims, pretty easy - did it online. It cost like $20.
The agency sent a check like 2 days later for the original amount. I figured that was good enough so I didn't pursue the interest.
