never post it, just chalk it up as an experience. You'll get more like that. Remember-'The Client is Always Right' no matter how much of a twit they are.
Hey hows my favourite town. I used to be a local-early nineties. Is Wild Bills still there? I worked at that Fondu place is that still there? Do you know anyone named Athena?

Not much you can do - Show your design work, don't link to the site... It sucks when clients mess up good work.

haha wild bills is still here! tacky as ever! I'm leaving in Dec. The fondu place is still here too. Banff is a place that don't change much.
Where does Athena work? i'm at the Banff Centre but don't know many local people. it's really transiant.
I guess i'll take that blurb out of my site.

thanks, i thought that only happened to me. I don't know why developers can't follow directions. Don't they check to see if everything match? i even gave pixel measurements for spacing and margins too!!

Same thing has been happening to me with my CD . It's gotten to the point where I'm packing up my shit and finding other employment. Some teams just don't execute well. I'll also be displaying the comprehensives in my book/portfolio site.

i would just show the concepts during interviews/pitches or whatever but don't include them in your public portfolio...

have to agree with instantok.
I worked at Wild Bills when it first opened. I learned how to block out music-country music. I miss that town I live in Texas now and I think I am going to take my wife there-she's never seen snow!!!!

mimio, are you a freelancer or do you work for an agency?
I've had that problem working in a web shop, but usually i complain to the project manager and things get fixed. but working remotely with different contractors is hard because they don't care even if i complain to the client.
I think i might write to them to express my dissapointment.

I ususally put everything i work on online and never really bring a portfolio because i do mostly web stuff.
Wow Jay that is funny, you should take your wife here, it's pretty mild this year but there's snow on the mountains.
some photos to bring back some memories.

as an AD and designer who works remotely w/ 99% of all my clients/agencies, this is something that can happen very easily, but can be managed. albeit taking a pretty strict adherence to project management process.
i would definilty include your comps in your portfolio and be proud of them. also, credit given where credit due; state what they were for and how used and then include link to live site that is effed if you like.
- Mimio0
I work for an agency that farms out the video production, and some of the flash development, as well as the backend stuff.
Instanok, what would be the downside of including the comps in a public portfolio? Other than not being able to link to the live work.

Thanks for the pics I really love that place and I would move back there in a heart beat, maybe I could get a job at Smitty's LOL(if it's stil there!) I'll show my wife the pics. And yes you should appreciate snow more because that is the only place on earth that I can put up with it, toronto? No way!!!!

Smitty's is gone. I like the snow here, it makes the place look magical! I enjoy the winters here because there is blue skies and sunshine too.
tell your wife to come.
