My thoughts are that nobody really likes the movie, but they pretend to by quoting it and having "Vote for Pedro" shirts. I say this because the people that supposedly like it generally have no appreciation for films that are independent in nature, and this movie had the air of independent about it, despite being an MTV production.
I didn't care for the movie itself, but I did like the message behind it, and thus hold appreciation for it.
Plus, I think John Hetter (Napoleon), in real life & without the white man's 'fro, is kinda hot. :^) I like them nerds, what can I say? ... though it might be the hair. I like it shaggy. Mmmm.:
