Motherboard? Probably the most important thing you can get. Hopefully all that stuff is based off the right board.

What was your spend (if you don't mind me asking) because I'll be doing something similar in the new year?

Now go get a good quality aluminium case, a zalmann cpu cooler and some sound-reducing widgets - 'sNothing worse than an über PC that likes to remind you how über it is every time you push it!
- imakedesign0
nairn is right.. that thing will probably sound like it will take off. best bet is to get a very quiet psu
word of warning... once you get into making you pc quiet you will have to say goodbye to your wallet and sanity.

Nice link.
I'll definately invest in some case insulation, that should keep it reasonably quiet.

Spend was approx $1000AUS
- imakedesign0
the gain from case insulation will be little to none if your dont buy quiet parts.

just shoot some spray insulating foam through the cd rom drive once you get it assembled. the foam will expand and insulate the inside of hte box.
done.
(i should start my own blog fixing common computer problems)

ASUS A8N-SLI PREMIUM. Dual Channel RAM technology, SATA RAID too.. plenty to upgrade..
