That was the funniest thing I've seen in awhile. Nevermind the fact that because so many get copies at a young age PS will be the standard for years to come. That, and it's just the best tool for what it does. If you get a business then get some legal copies - no biggie, but this... c'mon! Anyone feel like repenting? Repent sinners!

apple requires a flash key to operate Logic 7. You can get the software easily, but without that key, you can't do jack. now that makes sense.
if they really want people to stop ripping their apps off, they need to make them unpiratable.

as an MM employee, there are only certain number of copies i can buy using employee discount per year but if anyone's interested, let me know. (psst, its really really really cheap)
as for buying studio 8 and other current adobe products goes, it REALLY depends on how happy you are with the current version you have - haven't played around with CS2 much but studio 8 definitely offers some robust new functionalities but nothing you'll miss if you're happy with what you have now.
currently acquisition is stuck in germany and not sure when its gonna go through but future product plans are being discussed already i'm sure - but i won't expect anything to comeout for a while anyway.

Adobe has no competition anyway. So why even make any fuss about bootlegged versions. If I want to design, I HAVE to go through Adobe.
