Is there are way to seperate items in the OSX dock. I want to group my apps in areas, and perhaps use a vertical bar as a visual seperator between the groups
Cheers

You could set up a folder of aliases and move it to the right side, but to hold down on that folder to get a menu of what's inside takes an eternity.

Yeah, used to do that and I agree with the age it takes to open things. I may try to make an icon that you can drag into the doc. Will let you know how I get on.

Dunno if this is possible or not but create an Icon that is a bar (as if it were a folder icon) and drop into the bar???

that's what I am doing. But it only accepts apps, so there is the work around I guess.

yeah..the hack is to create some sort of exe. I made a flash projector, changed the icon and gave a blank space as it's name.
That dragged in fine...spacing is a bit fucked though.

Just create a folder, and add .app to it's name Ex: Folder.app, then change it's icon and drag it to the dock to the desired position...
