The one I work for, once 06 comes and my redesign/redevelopment of our web site is complete. :)
You've got to dream, you know?
But anyhow, I'm actually sitting here preparing a presentation, and here are some of the firm sites I really like:
http://www.kdlm.com
http://www.corrs.com.au
http://www.cliffordchance.com
http://www.kattenlaw.com
http://www.ngelaw.comHave you done any law firm work before?

thx mg33.
no this is the first one.
they hate all the clichés though, like crests and crosses and balances and swords and all that stuff..

need to add that this is not a giant global lawfirm, these guys are small, a bit more classic like, they are located in a beautiful old Dutch "herenhuis" and have a more traditional appearance.
they want a new identity and their website redone..
so i am looking for nice small (preferrably more minimalistc and slightly classic) examples..

Cool, have fun with it. Glad you've mentioned the cliches to avoid...
They are not limited to the following:
Briefcase
lawyer running up courthouse steps
handshake
conference room table
a meeting
courthouse columns
lady justice statue
gavel
courtroom
scales of justice--
If you would like any comments or feedback as you're working on it, feel free to send me an email. I've pretty much been researching law firm websites for more than a year to get to the point I'm at now in starting to build our new site.
It's a blast - I love being able to approach the visual side, the coding side, the content redevelopment side - everything.

I am a Marketing Assistant and do several things:
Primarily now, I manage our web site, with my big project being the redesign of it. I do print work, including company newsletter (layout, write most articles, interviews, etc.), brochure layout and design, various other projects as we need them.
I manage our internal employee directory, which I built with ASP earlier this year after knowing very little about ASP.
Also manage our client extranets, rebuilt an improved ASP security for them last year.Hmm, I also do typical things like put folders together for attorneys, marketing materials, do some management of our records system, send letters to new clients, little things like that.
The web site is the big thing though, and i first proposed a new one in June 04. It's just now really coming along, and I started learning CSS/XHTML layout in March, probably 50 hours already into it just working on layout and learning CSS. Fun stuff.

i find most of the sites i have seen pretty predictable, and the stockphotos are terribly boring.. hmm...

I was doing a work placement many years back and helped out on the rebrand of http://www.olswang.com/
The idea was lovely, it was an "olswang pencil" that went around righting the wrongs as it were.
