a different dns or a different registrar? are your nameservers setup correctly? Double check your nameservers and if those are correct, check with your host on the setup. It typically takes maybe a day or two. Sometimes it can take longer, but i've actually had domains resolve in under a day before.

its meant to take no longer than 48 hours to propogate...
...I heard form a guy in a pub once. I think his name was Steve.

It should be 'within 48 hours' - though, that might mean 2 working days, especially if your Provider only received the order late on Friday. I'd kick up a fuss if it's not through sometime tomorrow..
It's a real pain though, isn't it?

"WORKDAYS?
i thought this was an automated process.. computers have weekends off as well??
i asked the the company i registered it with to do it friday, indeed late in the afternoon and it was no problem they said...to avoid it being offline during the week.
but the fact that my email is down and i AM expecting emails from important clients really pisses me off at the moment.
thx for the info though, everyone.
ps. hi tfs!

That 'might' mean.
I can't remember it being the case in my experience - though I did wait 3 days once, a long time ago.
Annoyingly (esp. for people like me) it's one of those things you should do well in advance and allow for crossover problems, particularily if a client's involved..
..though, I appreciate that's a really twatty thing to say at this stage :)
It'll work out - don't fret too much, man!
