anyone know these cats?
Classical instruments in the hands of punks, sort of.. :)
but very very very good!
I saw them yesterday as they were performing open air in the Abbey in my hometown as part of the Zeeland Nazomer Festival, which gets better very year!!! :D
i was so stunned by their music... really, hadn't heard/seen something like this in a looooong time.
they have played with people like Soulwax, dEUS, Björk etc.
Yet they are very down to earth, we drank some beers with some band members afterwards, what a modest group of people. awesome!
funny thing is, they released like 6 albums of which one was released in a limited edition, and one of the newer band members, a drummer (they added acoustic bass and drums to the group later on) and one of my friends is like a walking encyclopedia when it comes to Belgian bands, but moreso, almost all good alternative bands know her as well, but she ain't no groupie tho..
the thing is, the albums are not easy to get here, as it is far from mainstream. the drummer did not even have the limited edition and asked my friend if she would send him a copy, haha.
but i am thinking of going to their hometown soon (Antwerp, Belgium) and buy some cd's...
sorry, for the long story.. it was such a good night yesterday heh.. had to share.
anyway, i want to listen some tracks now but i cannot find them via Acquisition..
anyone got a few tracks to offer?
