a new phone coming up?
it's said it will be just as, if not more, revolutionary as the iPod.

Hopefully they've re-designed it. The iPod looks quite dated in my opinion. If were to buy an mp3 player I'd go with sony.

I had heard of this phone a while ago and the deal was that Apple was havin trouble finding a carrier to support the phone. Verizon and Sprint et. all are planning on a music delivery system via the network (ie. a 3G version of an itunes store) and found the IPOD to be competing with it. Having said that, it was only a matter of time until someone sided with them. You also have Sony's Walkman phone that has 2gigs of storage and a 30 hour playtime ($400)

I know lots of people dont care for te all in one device, but I would really like to see Apple put out a PDA/Phone/Camera. They shouldent have problems making an ultra stripped down version of OSX run on an XScale (another benifit of having Intel).

http://backstage.ilounge.com/ind…Originally it was argued that the phone would be based on the ROKR mockup, but thankfully its not true. While the ROKR will be an iTunes phone, it won't be THE iTunes phone. Whew!
On another note, the iTunes phone has been confirmed to only hold 100 songs and from the sounds of it, the advertising should be pretty interesting.
