Can I get some tips on reseaching on the the search engines? My problem is I get too many results, and don't know which source is better. The one's that come up in the first few pages, or towards the end. It's frustrating for me to go through so many pages.

all the web gives you only 101 pages with a total of 1010 results, so i guess 10 more than google is better uhu?

visualplane, here's a short 101:
visual plane : will bring all results related to visual and plane, but not nescessarily paired as two words.
"visual plane" : will bring the results of the words in this order only. leaves out the other results that do not contain these words in this order together.
-boeing : will bring all the results of your search query except for all results that have the word boeing in it.
+airbus : will bring only the results of your query combined with the word airbus, all the others that do not mention airbus are left out of the results.
"tom is a * prick" : any word will be accepted in place of the *, so google will come up with results as "tom is a fucking prick" but also "tom is a terrible prick" and so on..
filetype:pdf : google will only show the results contained in this fileformat, will also work for .doc, .ppt, .swf (not always) and so on...
ofcourse you can combine all of these as well...
there's more hints but these are the most important so far..

okaaaayyyyy, my point was that I get too many results, and don't have time to click on 1010 links. I type in the keywords I'm looking for, but I don't get exactly what I'm looking for.
Let's say for the sake of argument, I type in top left handed hemopheliacs rifle collectors....I get over a thousand results, but it doesn't necesarrily mean the first 100 results gives me the top left handed etc...

this is handy when you want to search indexes/directories only..
