ok freaksters and freaklets,
check this out:
http://www.peterdaemen.nl/test/it is only this layout for now.
i wonder how it looks on ie/xp, please provide me with a screendump.
i want to do something with the green block, on the other pages it will hold picshurs.. but i might aenemate the picshurs with flash.. not sure yet.
then there is the whitespace in the lower left.
not sure what to do with that.
at the top a home and contact link will be added..

pretty plain dude, not much to crit.
I like the green. What u gonna do if ya wanna add a new button to the main nav?

i like the colors
what are you doing with the right column and the green box on top?
very straight forward

first, I really like the logo.
as for the layout, I think a nice photo might work on the main page as well, sepia toned so it doesn't compete too much with the small nav photos. Maybe drop a pull quote on top of the image too, not huge text, maybe same size as your header below...
I'd adjust the spacing from beneath the big green box to match the spacing between the nav boxes...
Then rather than have the body copy starting sorta in the middle of the grid, just move it over to the left, that way the white space will be more effective adjacent to the rag of the type on the right hand side, thus you won't need to put anything there..
Maybe use a different font wfor the nav, even just bolding the type as it is now...

pretty sterile for a floral designer. you might think about messing with some fonts that are more "organic" (if you are married to the layout.)

great crit guys, thx! does anyone see it on a win pc?
jgjh: well after numerous talks with the client it seems no new main items will be added, only subdirectories of these items.. so i can stick with this so it seems.
i'll try everything that's been mentioned.
keep 'em coming!

e_b_c, i have suggested that many times. i fully agree with you. the point is, his old identity consisted only out of helvetica layed out swiss style, so very clean and sterile, and he insisted he wanted to stick with that style.

keep it clean and simple, the images of flowers should be enough to make people realize they're a florist :)

My added 2ยข
make it so the images are part of the link in the navigation - rolling on the images should trigger the green rollover and click to other parts of the site.

It has potential. I think that in the green block, a flash element would totally work, maybe some scrolling effect of the floral designs.
I like how the section boxes
look under the green boxI do not however like the text
grey combo you have underneath, seems a waste of
space. Agian it doesnt jump
out as a floral site right now,
but if you worked some strong
imagery into that green box
then maybe. The white space to the left is bugging me what is that about?Anyway it seems to clinical to me. I'd try and get it more organic.
shit, I forgot to double space.

floral. okay. too much white around.
and why did you right-align the text in the buttons?
and make the logo bigger, and maybe really big so you can put the grean aenemaetionblock on the right side of the logo, so you don't waste space.
damn, my english is getting worse and worse.

Looks nice and clean. Missing something although I don't know what.
Two things:
1. In 800 x 600 it cuts you off right above the navigation and in 1024 x 768 it cuts off just above the bottom of the text. Seems like reducing the size of that green rectangle would fix both of those things.
2. I don't like that headline green with the regular green. Seems to clash. A more "grassy" green would probably work better. That one is too "minty".

It's looking good - I especially love the logo.
A couple things I noticed:
In 1024x768, the site cuts off in the middle of the paragraph - so at first glance it looks really off balance. If it's that close to fitting on one screen, it may be a good idea to try to get it to fit completely.
Also - I don't know if those are the images you'll be using... I think it gets a little muddy. Perhaps you tone down the colors until you roll over the menu items?
Very organized and usable, though. I like it.

hmmm back to the drawing board then.

some very simple, hand drawn, thin line art of a botanical nature might be nice dropped out of the big green block.
also what snuggles said re: text alignment.
sweet!

the photography is cool, although it isn't very cohesive. It jumps in style from one to the next- in a not so good way. Thats picking it apart thjough. overall look sreal good.
