I agree. I never usually buy anything that says something about a specific country, especially when it comes to the U.S.A. And you're right about the company not using the 'American' part of their name too much anymore.

Oh and their jeans are SUPER comfy and fit me quite well. I haven't had the need to throw out my pair yet, which always used to happen before whenever I bought jeans from other places.

Sure we can, first and foremost, the name America or American can pertain to both North and South America. It's improperly named in the first place after Amerigo Vespucci.
Secondly, even if people do term the United States as being America, wearing a T-shirt that says American has nothing to do with a war.

yeah their jeans r hell comfy...
i had a pair... which i wud sleep in.. go outside in.. i wud just wear it every time.. my family was sick of it... then one day i was playfighting wid my friends, and one of the girls clinged on it.. and it tore apart from the knee area.. i was like MEH!... i'll still wear it... 2 month later it tore from the thigh area... then i just had to give it up... never bought a pair every again coz i dont go into that store anymore.. but now that i remember the good memories... i'll go and get one the next chance i get....
it was from the RINGSPUN series... ahh...

Jaz, I know what you mean about 'America' being both South and North America. That annoys me as well. I'm not really just talking about America only when I say that I don't particularly like wearing shirts about other countries...unless it was a souvenir or from http://www.bustedtees.com
