I quite like it, it doesn't offend me in the slightest.
If that shirt offends you then how do you feel about 'Sweet Creep'?

Surely the connotations here are far more sinister (although this doesn't offend me either).

I think you should only be allowed to wear that shirt if you've swung on a swing under a tree and committed suicide from it.
- mg330
Now THAT would be ironic.

the shirt doesnt offend me, I just find it tasteless.... as is much of threadless's shirts lately. They are so so played now.... same shit, different colored crappy Hanes shirt.
- stewart0
that's what i think when i see 99% of the Tees over there...
Why would anyone wear anything like that?

I love this shirt, there's not many that'll make me laugh out loud when I read it but this one does!

hey man..
no offense to anyone in here, but I rather be wearing any shirt on threadless than a shirt that says gap, or banana republic.I think eventhough shirts in threadless aren't as cool as on their first days, its still better than sporting an advertising on your chest.
Plus, you have to give them props as they are still supporting young artists with little or no experience, the concept of their store is amazing, at least that is how I see it as a designer.
Yeah you might not like that shirt, that is cool, but the fact that they give opportunity to everyone to submit, rate and be rated is great.
:)

I would venture to guess that not a single person on NT wears GAP or BR logo shirts.
But I get your point.

I do buy t-shirts from trendy places, such as American Eagle, but never anything that has their logo in medium-huge letters.

I think I said this, but I personally know their lead contractor tee designer. AE.
She's a 43 year old designer. Haaaaa, I even passed her some fonts and gave her some advice on typography if you can believe that. Thanks to Typographica and 5timuli and the 'Font You Wanted' thread
- Jaline0
Yup, you told me several times, but that's really cool! I noticed that their t's are getting a bit more designer-ish and nice. Lots of fonts are being used on their newer stuff as well.

I don't pay close attention to that store even though there is one in the complex where I live. Maybe some of them fontsez is due to me. teee hee YAY!
- Jaline0
Well, you can check out most of their stuff here:
Like under 'graphic tees', for example.

Maby a baby fetus would just complete the set

i use to be a big fan of AE when i was in grade 9...
but then the whole BUSH-AFGHANISTAN-IRAQ thing happend... and i got into alot of political history books... and now i just dont wanna wear anything that says AMERICAN in big letters on my chest..
ALTHOUGH.. the shirts i see now a days from AE.. only say A. Eagle.. i guess they learned that their buyer base is getting destroyed coz of the first word of their name...
buttttttt... THEIR JEANS R THE MOST COMFYIEST SHIT IVE EVER WORN!... ive to get one of those the next time they r on sale!!!
- ********0
whatever. all the shirts I see say American Eagle. everyone needs to take a chill pill with that politically correct BS

Republican Eagle?
:)

awhhh man dont say that JazX!
in times of war, we cant just take a CHILL-PILL... now can we?
- Jaline0
I agree. I never usually buy anything that says something about a specific country, especially when it comes to the U.S.A. And you're right about the company not using the 'American' part of their name too much anymore.
