that's "stooped," actually. :)

That's just wrong, on so many levels.

I'm dumbfounded. I didn't think there would ever be reason to complain about anything more than stupid, cliche designs being chosen since they've gotten so popular.
But this shirt crosses the line big time.

that is bad..

I'm on their mailing list, so I got info about that shirt a few days ago. Very tasteless.

not a fan of that dumbsh*t design
- mg330
You should read the banter in the blog on that shirt.

I am reading some of the posts at the threadless site.
Wow. A lot of uneducated insensitive arguments. I don't even know where to begin.
- Jnr_Madison0
It's pish anyway.

"The balance in this is amazing, the innocense of childhood and the darkest of deaths. Really, to the artist, I find this to be brilliant."
I can understand what this person is saying. I just think the design and message is REALLY in-your-face. You could maybe keep this t-shirt...just don't wear it.

I think threadless is becoming the official definition of "selllout."
I can't be the only one who liked them much more when they were smaller, when you could wear a shirt and your friends that didn't know them would think you were cool for it. Selfish, I know, but we all do things like that, right?

I know what you mean mg33. Like enjoying a band more before they are popular. At least people know that I'm a designer, and therefore have been around this stuff for some time.

*emo tear*
thats bad.

anyone remember Derush? that shit played itself pretty quickly, mind you I'm still bitter that threadles appreciates this crap over anything I've submitted...

i'm more disturbed by the cheesy pose in the accompanying photo.

haha, I like that Meeklo.
I dont understand what the fuss is about with that threadless shirt..
Its just a drawing of a child on a swing, and a guy whos been hanged..
Its not a photograph, it may have happened like that at some point in the past, or even today, but that picture does not represent or report an actual instance of it occurring.
'Death on one side, childhood innocence on the other, the tree of life etc etc etc', its not even very clever or very well executed, its derivative, obvious and utterly without merit, designed (and I use the term very loosely) to elicit a knee jerk trite response from people who actually deem it worthy of another second of thought, which it is not.
Its the graphic equivalent of a 'your mom smells' grafito.
Offensive, no.
Interesting, no.
Of any value at all, worthy of reaction and discussion, no.

lol - it is, however, missing the decomposing corpse of grandmother lying in the foregound.
Some of you guys really need to lighten up.

I think the bigger point is that threadless resorts to printing crap like this now because their customer base is gigantic and composed of plenty of people who will pay money for something like this that is seen as shocking and attention grabbing.
I was at a mall a couple hours outside Chicago this weekend, walked past the store Hot Topic.
I could see this shirt being sold in there, for the mall rats.
