I don't think the pistola was loaded and it was small. But still, we weren't taking any chances. Chances are that dude is either dead or in prison.

-music studio was robbed by some coke addicts and they sold all my vintage gear for their habit
-house was robbed by someone while i was working. stole my gun, laptop, cameras, watches and money.
-record collection has been stolen 3 times in full. finally got my current collection up to about 6,000 pieces of vinyl
-car has been broken into 2 times.
- i have been robbed at gun point and shot at. he missed me and my bro. later we found out he has killed people.
damn... it sounds like i am living in a third world country. most of this happend in atlanta.

Damn. There are good ways to deter most crime. Video survelience is not so expensive. keeping your valuables safe.

When I have a house someday, I plan on having a fireproof, lockable closet built to store things like photos, electronic gear, etc.
I actually put alot of thought into it fairly often. Contain a small server inside that other computers are networked too, so in case of a fire you wouldn't lose your important stuff.
Things like clothes too - if I lost my clothes it would be like loosing my arms.

didn't read the rest of this thread but:
• that sucks. I hate thieves.
• I doubt the police report will do much unless they just happen to catch that person in the act of a similar crime. The old office I worked at got broken into and they stole like 5 computers, 10 monitors and 7 flat screen HDTVs. Cop said "You guys insured?" ... and that was that.

i had an akai mpc2000 stolen from my apartment once and that was it...the roomie left the back door unlocked. i've always suspected it was an inside job...

I had to do the police report for my renters insurance claim.
Quite glad I have insurance, I should be able to replace the DVD's I really liked and get a new watch, hopefully.

I was super worried because I forgot to make my insurance payment last month, though it was due by the 8th, and it was the 3rd.
So I thought it was cancelled.Luckily I was in a grace period. When I tried to pay Friday, but their offices were closed, I thought "Yep, something is going to happen now that it's cancelled."

robbed? yeah every time i got fill up my vehicle with gas...
but seriously, i got my cd's stolen out of my car once. that's about it.
oh, and one time when i was like 6 my buddy and i were playing football and this dude comes up and is like "hey, give me the ball, i'll throw you a long one!" so i run out on a fade route and the dude takes off the other way with my ball. i was so naive.

One time my neighbour stole my pogs. He was actually in quite a few of my classes afterwards and was sort of an acquaintance. I didn't really hate him. Plus, his mom made him give the pogs back to me a few days after that incident and he cried :)
