Anyone read this? the whole thing sounds lke a plot to disaster movie:
science goes mad tapping into forces beyound their control
Site is located on a known faultline.
You can guess what happens next? Bruce Willis rolls in the save the day!

and the Russians, Japanese and German scientists will run it.
"Site is located on a known faultline." - that can't be good....

I bet they have brilliant worken styled uniforms and all run around with plenty to be getting on with.

they can cook their croissants with nuclear energy.
it's renewable energy to boot.

well, the disaster would be ... well.... a disaster. but who knows. everytime a new idea comes up, everybody shoots it down before it is tried.
however, the thought does scare me.... remember spiderman2?

haha. we have quite a few of those plants here in the u.s. great thing about stuff like this is IT CAN BE SHUT OFF!.
so you don't go around all day sounding like a complete douch it isn't like 'turn it on and it goes forever' kinda thing.

k0na, you have fusion plants on the u.s.a.?!?!? are you sure!?!
- ********0
we have the ones where they collide nuclear atoms into each other for power/testing.
less than 20 miles where i live.
what is it called..... fermi-lab?!?

we got secret stuff too, but it's secret so we don't know...

oh, yeah, i think i know the ones you mean... those that they throw one against the other in this circle tunnel with a diameter of a couple kms?
anyway, that's not fusion. the big probem with fusion is the great amount of heat needed for that... i remember there have been a few scientists that have claimed that they could do it... but then it wasn't like that.

oh yeah, i know those... a piece of advice: DO NOT go outside just after their lunchtime. that's something you don't want to clean off your suit.

yeah. looks like a large underground track. i saw a photo once and the atoms had little helmets with flames painted on them so they don't get too fucked up in the process of smashing into each other.

(Jun 28 05, 07:39)actually, I'll have you know, that elephant dung is mostly leafy organic material, but yes when it first comes out it has a stinkage to it
if I got hit from fair above it would probably pick up enough velocity to knock me out. ouch

true... but then i wouldn't like to be showered in manure...

There's always the possibility of them causing a black hole to form which will eventually swallow up the Earth. There was a dodgy BBC2 program about it a few months back which illustrated what would happen if the fusion experiments go wrong.

they say that Lion sh*t is the worst of any creature on the planet. nasty diets
Dino's mustn't have been well off either. ughhh
