yeah it'll take a chomp outta you. saying that they are a school fish so all the carnage you see on TV happens when a shiteload are feeding.
still, you could lose a nice bit of finger to it. i guess if you feel in and forgot to get out for about a month it could eat all of you!
mexican walking fish are a bugger for kids also. a friend had one as a pet years ago and it took a bite at mu mate one time. pretty funny.

my gf has one and it bit her when she stuck her hand in to move this filter thing in it. it didnt draw blood, but she said it hurt. it shortly after ate all the other fish in the tank. its a vicious sucker

haha, thats what i said. the dude at the fish store said the other fish were big enough and aggressive enough to fight back. the pirhana wasnt supposed to be that agressive anyway, especially when its well fed.

it eats fish like crazy, gobbles them up really ferocious like. it has never bitten me, but i have never given it the chance...
