As for the (mt) stickers, we wanted to rep (mt) as hard as we could while we were there, considering they were the folks who hooked us up with tickets to the festival, not to mention free dinner and drinks later on.

Fuck, ignore that last post...

So your 15 eh. Well here is some advice, take it or leave it.
1. Keep using your age as a crutch and you'll find yourself running out of ideas to copy. Not just you, but any young designer.
2. Think. Too many young designer's these days are overly concerned with making a name for themselves, resulting in a portfolio as shallow as a dried up pond. Like my friend Denis says:
http://www.desirefordesign.com/i…So I'll leave you with those few comments. You have a taste for what's good, but now it's time to start wrapping those styles around some concepts.
Stay up.

Jevad, what up! As weird as dereks hoodie looks, it's actually pretty dope. It zips up all the way to the top, making him look like some sort of garden nome.

Raiden,
Yeah that 6'7" huge blonde dude was this guy: http://www.oculart.com
I have to point out 1 interesting note about this guy. He's probably one of the only people I've met in this industry who actually looks like, and dresses like his work.
It's very refreshing :)

WTF are you wearing derek!? and why do you have mt stickers all over you!
- Solid0
NSpace: are you attending OCA?
- NegativeSpace0
Probably thinking of Goeff Lilleman, the oculart guy, wore a scarf if I remember.

does anyone know who was the tall, blond, punk/trash, napoleon dynamite - looking person walking around at the fest? i got the impression it was a speaker, but i didn't check it out???
- Solid0
Level was a great mag - I think it would have done better if it were released today.
I used to follow mags a lot too, but the last while I haven't really seen anything exciting ..

i saw Carson back in 2000 at Profile Intermedia in Bremen, and i'll say he was doing pretty good as a speaker and all, but i only saw him because i wanted a good seat for Tomato/Underworld, who was on stage right after him.

I agree jee, with every action there is an equal but opposite reaction...
I used to be such a magazine buff, but I haven't bought anything lately [other than mags I always get for music reviews and shit]
- jeedoubleu0
Oh don't worry Snuggles, they are coming back real soon, everything comes in cycles.
Since there is a booming trend of hand drawn shit, things are bound to become more simple, just to balance the world.
At least, that's what I think

thx solid, that's definitely whom I was thinking of..probably one of my fav periods of design for that mag...
I used to love the Face around that time too.
What ever happened to simple and not over-designed magazines? Level was another one that was fantastic...
