Sparkling Heroin...

Ok, i'm building a pre-loader in flash that consists of a syringe being slowliy filled up with heroin.
Now what I need is a nice flash effect to make the heroin sparkle like glitter in the sunshine (to make it more attractive to the kids you see).
Had a look in the usual places. Anyone got any ideas?

see if you can google a formula for "brownian motion"
recreate in ActionScript and apply to many 1 pixel grey movieclips with _alpha = 30.

maybe try the straight forward approach..
make 2 graphics... 1 with diagonal lines from top left to bottom right
make the other one with some wavy lines up and down..
make sure the lines are pretty close to each other.. and when you put one over the other.. they'll make that weird moire effect.. then just put a lighter color behind the 2.. so that the "sparkles" will be there as well..
how's that sound?

Aye, a ken that after googling it. That there was the formula though.
Don't think my pre-loader is important enough to have nobel prize winning physics in it but.

but if you tell kids that smack sparkles, then their gonna be shooting up the glitter from the school cupboard.
its a brown dingy powder that disolves into water when heated and can turn a gritty reddy orange, you then need to filter it into the srynge through a cigerette filter otherwise you inject undisolved impuritys which can make you really ill, so a srynge looks like it contains a clear orange/brown liquid.
