there is no justice in this worl...good people die and scum survive.
I suppose chi must be balanced in some way.
Regardless, things like this are always hard to believe....

I used to be a right little shit as a kid, got in all sorts of nonsense.
I really did think I was invincible because I never got caught and never got a hiding.
Things do tend to change when you get battered and put in hospital for the first time. It was bit of an ego check in all honesty and I haven't been the same since, in a good and a bad way.

heh.
funny you should say that. see martial arts thread for my philosophy on yoga.
in all seriousness, though, the whole violence epidemic is not to be underestimated and it is fairly harrowing when it effects the people you know and love.

true that paraselene. i think i seriously need to learn some control tho, certain things just set me off and i get this FURY in the pit of my stomach that makes my nostrils flair and my mouth say the most confrontational things at the most inappropriate times...

Tell ya what, i think it's getting worse. i spend a lot of time sober in nightclubs cos of My G/Fs work, and tell ya what, it's getting mad crazy all over. boxing day, at a club in london, right b4 we went in this bloke got bottled in the neck, made a right 'kin mess, claret every were, rozzers shut it down (as they should), attempted murder. Month b that, same venue, 4 people bottled in one night. hell, it's not even a rough one. Yeh, low profile all round, word to whoever just said that.
Love peace and hair grease people!

i know where you're coming from, vespa.
i think part of the reason that it seems we (eg: women) are oblivious to the testosterone fumes is that any sort of sexism always has overtones of violence, so we're kind of used to getting that same adrenaline nausea that you lot (eg: men) associate with violence from much less overtly violent situations (eg: catcalls). which, to be fair, represent a realtime physical threat for us. and our intolerance of that - our generation having been raised by the original card-carrying, bra-burning feminists - is an index of our maturity as a society. so we ought to culivate it.
the same, naturally, goes for chavs bottling people in the street (provoked by loudmouthed gfs or otherwise)

the weird thing is up until six months ago I never knew anybody that had died or been killed now I know 4. Three students studying the same course as me where killed in a car accident the first day of mid year break last year really talented nice people they had gone to some remote Aboriginal community to do a workshop in webdesign or something and crashed on a bush road driving home late at night.

I wish I was Bruce Lee,
Then they would pay. He never looses, even when the bad guys have guns!
- ricstultz0
sorry to hear about your friend tho Stylus... wasnt laughing at that. I usually try to keep my head low... livin in a city and all. Confrontations arent worth it. I usually walk with my dog... people avoid confronting you if ya got a hound.
- vespa0
you're right MX_OnD
*hangs head in shame
rudeness pisses me off so-oo much tho! and you can tell exactly what i'm thinking even if i don't open my mouth, i can kill a bloke with an evil look at 10 paces. i should just stick to evil looks instead of mouthing off tho. anger management classes anyone?
- Chimp0
A few freinds of mine were stabbed while playing football in Highbury. We were playing a chav team and a fight started, the next we knew 3 poeple had been stabbed!. Rising crime is all down to chavs. 6percent more violent crime = 6 percent more chavs
- ricstultz0
hahahaa vespa, thats funny... shame them.
- MX_OnD0
shit vespa....
sounds very familiar, seriously be carefull.
Sometimes I think that guys have a much more acute sense of when to just shut up, almost like we can smell the testosterone or something.... but we can often feel the undertone when the ladies are totally oblivious to it..... possibly why girls can wind guys up more than other guys can...
- vespa0
i've mouthed off many time before - not when i'm with my bf, just by myself. hmm not too clever eh?
classic stupidity - carload of young testosterone fuelled tossers stopped at lights shouting REALLY rude shit at me the other night just cos i'm a chick walking by myself at night, i turned back and stuck my head in the drivers window in a pointing-finger-hand-on-hip-shou... "IF ANY OF YOU HAVE SISTERS HOW WOULD YOU LIKE THEM BEING SPOKEN TO LIKE THAT EH?!! YOU THINK YOU'RE SUCH TUFF GUYS TALKING TO A WOMAN THAT WAY YOU THINK IT MAKES YOU ATTRACTIVE OR GETS YOU RESPECT HUH?! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!!!"
they actually looked scared, it was quite funny! wouldn't have done it if it wasn't such a crowded area, but still i should be more careful. my bf would go mentalist if he knew i did stupid things like that.
- MX_OnD0
Fighting is just so bloody futile, I've always been a talker and not a fighter, it's stood me in good stead I think.... My gf has done Tae-Kwon-Do to quite a high standard.... but a knife is a knife... still there's no telling her so she's had to accept that if she wants to stand her ground she'll do it alone.
I'll mourn her / visit in hospital whatever but no fucken way am I taking a stab for the sake of "saving face"....
- Stylus0
this guy I use to knock about with in highschool who was total chav scum (the aussie version anyway) is doing 5 years for exposing this guys heart with a knife. The guy told my ex-mate to fuck off because he had just grabbed his girlfriends arse and so he cut him open the sick fook.
- rabattski0
chicks always will get you in trouble and expect you to be their shiny knights in armour and jump to the rescue for shit they cause :)
- MX_OnD0
I know moth, I've said it time and time again, her standard reply is that she can handle herself....
If it were to come to it, I'd run and I don't mind admitting it - I'd rather we'd both run but I'm not getting stabbed cos she doesn't want to run.
- rabattski0
that's really fucked up.
